Giant Board Game

⭐⭐

Equipment: Printed-out numbers, a die

The way you build and design the game can be different, the important thing is that it's fun.

Prepare by printing out or writing one number on each piece of paper from 1 to 100. You must also create a list of challenges or setbacks. Arrange the numbers in sequence in a wavy line across the playing area.

Have players team up in pairs or groups of three. All teams need a pawn with which to mark their position on the game board. This can be different coloured beanbags, pylons, shoes or hats. One team will roll the die and move their pawn as many places from start as the die indicates. On a master list, each position will correspond to a challenge or setback. Depending on the challenge, they will either move their pawn as indicated immediately or will complete the challenge while the other teams take their turns. Rotate through the teams. The first team to have their pawn reach the finish is the winner.

Example setbacks and challenges:

Position 17: Move back to position 11

Position 30: Add the ages of the players in your group and divide it by the number of players in your group. You may move forward that many spaces.

Position 34: Do 10 push-ups each or move back 10 spaces.

Position: 45: Answer this question before your next turn to move forward an additional 7 spaces: 63 + 29 = ?

Position 59: Do 30 sit-ups in total or be sent back to position 49

Position 60: Move forward an additional 3 spaces

You can also include spaces such as Roll Again, Double Your Roll, and even include excitement with spaces that give the option of Chance Cards. Chance cards would offer big risk for potential big rewards. For example, Position 46 offers: Move forward an additional 6 spaces or take a Chance Card. The Chance Cards may include things such as: Move back to Start, Move forward 20 spaces, Move back to the space halfway between your current position and Start, Change places with another pawn, Send another pawn back 20 spaces.
