Egg Drop

Participants work individually or in groups (depending on how many eggs you have) to create a protective case for an egg. Be sure to supply them with tape, cardboard, containers, cups, string, cotton swabs, foam, or other assorted materials. When they have finished making their contraption, take participants to a place with a vertical drop and have them form an audience, and one at a time drop their egg cases from the same height. If an egg isn't broken after a drop, they were successful.

Remember that the higher the drop, the more time and materials you should give the participants. If you have time, after the first drop you can let them try to make a new one, or modify the one they have already made, and then try again.
